POLICE are now looking for the suspects behind a robbery incident in an office at house No. 142 on De Guzman Street in Barangay 13-8 in Barrio Obrero in Davao City on December 6.
Records from the Sta. Ana Police Station showed that the incident happened around 7:30 a.m.
Some P95,000 worth of items and cash were lost when unidentified men broke into Dasoma Distributor owned by Evelyn Tan Ang.
Ang said when she arrived in the office, she noticed that their safety vault was already on the floor and destroyed. She added that the vault was already empty when she checked it.
The suspects took P50,000 cash; an Acer brand laptop worth P40,000; a keyboard set worth P2,000; and a Samsung brand cellular phone worth P3,000. The owner also noticed their closed circuit television (CCTV) camera’s cable was detached.
"When the police reviewed the camera footage, the record lasted until 1:15 a.m. December 6," said Police Officer 3 Marlon Donquilab, investigator of the Sta. Ana Police Station.
Donquilab added that the suspects possibly gained entry on the roof top of the office.
The detailed security guard Jerry Polinar from the Gul Security Agency, when asked on the incident, told the police that he never noticed anyone entered in the gate.
He added that he cannot conduct a roving check inside as he was only assigned to the outside of the building.
Donquilab said they are now checking their rogue gallery and conducting an investigation to identify and arrest the suspects responsible for the incident.
