ANOTHER man was shot dead in broad daylight. The victim, a 24-year-old construction worker, was gunned down inside a billiard hall at Purok Alimokon, Barangay Mandug in Buhangin, Davao City Friday.
Police identified the victim as Sherwin Fordaliza Sazo, of the same place.
Investigation conducted by Buhangin police revealed that the incident happened at 2:20 p.m.
The victim was sitting inside Migraso Billiard Hall when two unidentified gunmen wearing masks alighted from a black and white Honda XRM motorcycle and shot the victim several times.
Sazo was killed on the spot. He succumbed to three gunshot wounds to his head, three to his body and one on his right hand.
Further investigation revealed that prior to the incident, the victim tried to pacify a heated altercation between his cousins identified as Charlie Sandido and Nikkie Bahinting, who were quarreling about a land dispute. When the victim pacified the two, Bahinting got mad and left.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) responded at the scene, but the mother of the victim identified as Remedios Sazo, a 54-year-old purok leader of Purok Alimokon, refused to have his son undergo crime scene investigation.
The mother of the victim told police that she has lost her faith on the investigation of police since she claimed that none of the recent shootings were solved.
Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells of caliber .45 pistol.
