Monday, December 16, 2013
MORE residential lots were added to the relocation site in Los Amigos, Tugbok District to cater more affected families during the flashflood in Barangay Matina Pangi in 2011.
Roy Ryan Rigor, acting housing and homesite officer of the City Planning and Development Office (CDPO), referred the Alteration of Plan (ALT) of 13 blocks from 747 units of residential lots to 839 units before the City Council for approval.
Based on the report of the committee on housing, rural and urban development, the square meters per lot on Blocks 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 28 and 35 will be reduced to accommodate more families.
Rigor said that the Los Amigos relocation site has a land area of 135,033 sq. m. with 747 lots.
The affected families of the flashflood in Barangay Matina Pangi and Matina Crossing also sought assistance from the Office of the Vice President, through the National Housing Authority (NHA), in the amount of P20 million for the construction of 200 housing units.
Rigor said that to accommodate the 200-housing-units projects, an ALT is needed to increase the number of units of residential lots to 839.
Rigor added that they have already accommodated the 200 housing unit project, and have already started the construction of 50 of these in Blocks 25, 24, 23, 16, 15, 14, 13, and 12 is ongoing.
The committee also assured that the sizes of lots requested conform to the provision under BP 220. The committee recommended the approval of the proposal.
