3 face raps for stealing fuel-A A +A

A MAN is facing charges before the City Prosecutor's Office for stealing his employer's fuel, while two others were also charged for trying to purchase the stolen fuel in Barangay Biao Guianga, Tugbok, Davao City Thursday.
Facing theft charges is Juliver Paglinawan, a 34-year-old warehouse worker of Sumifru Corporation and a resident of Purok 5, Tungkalan, Toril, while charged for violation of the Presidential Decree 1612 or the Anti-Fencing Law are Simeon Canitan Ungab, 28, hailing from Purok Marang, Cagangohan, Panabo City and Leo Clarion Lascu¤a, 39, and a resident of Purok 2, Wangan, Calinan.
Investigation of the Tugbok police revealed that the incident happened around 5:15 p.m.
The security guards of Sumifru identified as Arnold Diaz Cordero and Hernan Hernaez were rendering their duty when they saw Ungab and Lascu¤a standing beside a white mini dump truck with plate number MEL587.
When they checked further, they saw Paglinawan in the act of siphoning fuel from the barrel s of fuel loaded on the mini dump truck.
The two security guards then held the respondents until Tugbok police responded at the crime scene and apprehended the suspects.
Recovered from the possession of the respondents were a 2.5-meter hose used for siphoning the fuel and 11 containers of diesel fuel worth P14,850.
The three are currently detained at the Tugbok police station while the recovered evidence will be used against the suspects in court.
The case is being handled by Prosecutor Jay Karel Sanchez.
