Man faces murder raps-A A +A

CHARGES were filed before the City Prosecutor's Office against a laborer who allegedly shot dead a 21-year-old man and tried to kill two others in Matina Aplaya, Davao City.
Facing murder, illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions, and attempted murder charges is Dominador Rocha Dagidor, 27, of New Visayas, Matina.
Dagidor was charged for killing Lenjun Gonzaga Cantalejo and trying to kill the victim's brother Junlex and uncle Ranila Formentera.
Investigation conducted by Talomo police revealed that the three victims were having a drinking session at their residence when the suspect approached Lenjun and challenged him to a fistfight.
Dagidor was jointly mauled by the three and he was forced to yield.
When the three victims turned their backs on the suspect, the latter pulled out a caliber .38 revolver and shot Lenjun on his back.
The suspect also tried to shoot the two other victims but missed.
Lenjun was pronounced dead at the Davao Adventist Hospital while the suspect was arrested at his residence.
Police recovered a caliber .38 revolver with three fired cartridges and two live ammunition from the possession of the suspect.
When asked for his firearm licenses, Dagidor was not able to present any thus, he was also charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Dagidor is detained at the Talomo police station.
Prosecutor Gaye Cañete-Magdagasang is handling the case.
