Cops ready suit vs son who stabbed ma-A A +A

POLICE are set to file charges before the City Prosecutor's Office against a man who tried to kill his mother in a stabbing incident at Lower Rapnaga, Bago Aplaya, Davao City Saturday.

Investigation conducted by Talomo police revealed that the incident happened around 2:40 p.m. The victim was at the kitchen when Philipp suddenly stabbed her neck. Tarzona was rushed to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Bangkal and was later transferred to the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) after sustaining a five-centimeter deep stab wound on her neck while Phillip was arrested while hiding at his neighbor's residence.
Recovered from the possession of the suspect was a kitchen knife measuring around eight inches.
Prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect had an altercation which may have irked the latter.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect is mentally disturbed as a result of substance abuse since when he was 20.
The suspect is detained at the Talomo Police Station while police are awaiting the medico-legal and affidavit of the victim for the filing of charges.
