A MAN was killed after he was run over by a motorcycle along Angliongto Road, in Lanang, Davao City Thursday.
Killed in the incident was Rogelio Molina Dalguit, a native of San Isidro, Davao Oriental and a transient resident of Angliongto Road.
Dalguit was riding his bicycle when he was ran over by a Suzuki motorcycle with plate number 4131YL driven by Sonny Boy Pormon, of Diamond Village in Lanang.
Based on the investigation conducted by the Traffic Group of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the incident took place around 4:55 p.m.
The two vehicles were travelling in an opposite direction. Dalguit was passing through the north bound lane while Pormon was travelling through the south bound lane coming from his home.
Upon reaching the area, particularly in front of a Kini Rogers Lechon Manok outlet, Pormon made a left turn but in the process, his motorcycle slammed on the bicycle driven by Dalguit.
Central 911 responded at the scene and brought Dalguit to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Ian Abundo.
Pormon, meanwhile, was also examined at the SPMC for liquor intoxication.
Pormon may be charged for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide. He is currently detained at the DCPO detention facility while his motorcycle is also impounded at the DCPO headquarters for documentation of evidence.
