CHARGES were filed before the City Prosecutor's Office against four men arrested for illegal drugs in separate police operations in Davao City on Monday.
Facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are Arvin Balankig Santillan, Melvin Solano Pajoc, Garry Gerbolingo Amerkhan and Kirk Espleta Amador.
Santillan, Pajoc and Amerkhan were arrested in an operation launched by Sta. Ana police while Amador was collared by operatives of the San Pedro police.
Sta. Ana police launched an operation against Santillan and Pajoc after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen informing the police that the two are having a pot session. Recovered from their possession were dried marijuana leaves weighing around 2.35 grams.
Amerkhan, meanwhile, was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by Sta. Ana police in Agdao. Cops arrested Amerkhan after the latter handed out one plastic sachet containing shabu (crystal meth) worth P1,000 to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer.
More sachets of shabu were recovered from his possession when police conducted a frisk on him. A total of 7.1398 grams of shabu were recovered from Amerkhan.
Amador, on the other hand, was caught smoking marijuana while rendering duty at the Felcris construction site along Quimpo Blvd. Dan Formentera Engles, a security guard detailed at the same construction site, arrested Engles and endorsed him to the San Pedro police.
Recovered from his possession was an improvised aluminum foil pipe containing marijuana residue.
