CHARGES were filed before the City Prosecution Office against two men suspected of ransacking an Islamic Center along Quimpo Boulevard, Davao City on Monday.
Facing robbery charges are Ian Avendano and Xiarell Jade Montera. The two were charged after the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera of the establishment reportedly caught footages of the two robbing the Islamic Center.
Investigation of San Pedro police revealed that a retired personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines reported the robbery at the establishment.
Sansarona told police that robbers stole a total of P40,000 worth of cash from the cashier's booth and a total of P6,620 worth of groceries.
The robbers gained entry by tearing off the roof of the establishment, the police said.
The police have already extracted fingerprints from the crime scene, which will be cross-examined to determine if the prints belong to Avendano and Montera.
Police are now conducting a pursuit operation for the apprehension of the suspects. (Ruji Peter S. Abat)
