Victim in shooting found dead

ONE of the two victims in a recent shooting incident in Lasang, who was chased by an unidentified suspect, was found dead at the Puyod Banana Plantation at Purok Virgo Licanan, Lasang, Davao City on Friday late evening.

Rodrigo San Juan Ramos Jr. who was identified earlier as Dongkoy Ramos, 22, was found dead at the back of the house he and his live–in partner have rented, three hours and 15 minutes after his partner Camela Tibulong Elemento, 18, was hit with a stray bullet.

Record from the Bunawan Police Station showed that the incident took place around 7:15 p.m. The partners were walking home when the gunman shot Ramos first several times.

Carmela sustained to a lone gunshot wound on her buttocks, while was able to run toward the banana plantation.

A responding medical team immediately brought the woman to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC).

The police first recovered from the crime scene four pieces of fired cartridge and one fired slug of a caliber .45 pistol.

The man succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and one in his head. Recovered from the plantation were five pieces fired cartridge case, two fired slugs, and two live ammunition of a caliber .45 pistol. The cadaver of the man was brought to Rivera Funeral Parlor.

Personnel of the Bunawan police are still looking for the suspect who was described as 5’2 to 5’4 tall with a small body build, wearing short pants without an upper shirt, and a towel covering his head.
