DAVAO City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte expanded the function of the pricing committee for the land reform program to cover all the relocation sites and other housing projects of Davao City.

Duterte signed on April 10 the Executive Order No. 20 repealing/amending a provision of the Executive No. 45 entitled “Reconstituting the membership of pricing committee for the Slum Improvement and Resettlement (SIR) project and Urban Land Reform Program (ULRP) of the city.”

The pricing committee of the program determines the fair market value/cost of residential and commercial lots involved in SIR and URLP for sale to the awardees.

The committee’s function will not only be limited to SIR and URLP program but will also include relocation sites and other housing programs of the city.

“The Committee shall have the power to determine the fair market value/cost interest and surcharges, payment scheme of residential and commercial lots under the housing program of the city of Davao such as but not limited to SIR, URLP, relocation sites, for sale or resale to the awardees/qualified buyers,” the amended Section 2 of the EO No. 45 reads.

Duterte said the determination of the fair market value shall be based on existing guidelines on socialized housing and urban development.

The amended provision applies to the existing plans of the City to delineate the fire-affected area in Barangays 23-C, 22-C, and 21-C and convert these to a subdivision-type area.
