FOUR illegal drug suspects including a minor are facing charges before the City Prosecutor's Office after they were arrested in separate operations in Davao City recently.
Charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are Roy Pepito Guigayuma, 35; Lord Anthony Callo Medrano, 25, both residents of Brgy. San Antonio in Agdao; Jerelyn Abellano Sanoria, 21, and a minor only identified as alias Miko, 16, both from Suha Village, Km. 12, Sasa.
Guigayuma and Medrano were charged after they were arrested by operatives of the Sta. Ana police near their residences.
Police said the operation was launched around 3 a.m. at San Roque St. in Barangay San Antonio. Cops collared Guigayuma and Medrano after the two sold three marijuana joints worth P100 to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer.
Also recovered from their possession were three small sachets containing suspected shabu.
Sanoria and Miko, meanwhile, were sued after they were nabbed by operatives of the Sasa police station led by Police Officer 2 Roger Rivera.
The report of Sasa police revealed that they received a tip that the two were having a shabu session at the place of Sanoria around 6:30 a.m. of April 25. Police then responded at the scene and caught the two in the act of using shabu.
Seized from their possessions were one big transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and assorted drug paraphernalia.
Miko was endorsed to the Quick Response Team for Children's Concern of the City Social Service and Development Office where he was found to have been acting with discernment. Thus, the charges were pressed against him.
