IT'S about time to clean up the toilets in schools used as evacuation centers, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte said Sunday.

Duterte said the City Government of Davao, through the Task Force Isla Verde, will conduct a massive clean-up drive in all the schools in preparation for the opening of classes next month.

“Kanang mga septic tank, limpyuhon na, protektahan. Mga residual. You remove danger of contamination,” Duterte said on Sunday.

City administrator lawyer Melchor Quitain said the residents will return to the area where their houses were before.

Each house owners shall be given a maximum area of 50 square meters only, to give way for the road network which is part of the Task Force’s rehabilitation program.

The fire victims temporarily billeted at Rizal Elementary School, Roxas Elementary School, Quezon Elementary School, Jose P. Garcia Elementary and Sta. Ana National High School (Sales Campus) will be pulled out on or before May 15. (ANC)
