2 more robberies in city, suspects hunted-A A +A

POLICE are hunting down the suspects in separate robbery incidents in Davao City on Saturday.
The first incident happened around 2 a.m. at Purok 20 in Calinan, where the victim was identified as Fe Rodrigo Ortega, 55, a businesswoman.
Record from Calinan police revealed that the victim was asleep when the robbers entered her house through the unlocked gate.
The suspects took her Nokia phone worth P2,500; Cherry Mobile phone worth P1,000; Samsung phone worth P20,000; load wallet amounting to P900; two DVD players worth P6,800 and P2,800 cash.
Police learned that the suspect/s exited on the right side portion of the house.
The second incident happened around 6 a.m. at the construction site of the Phoenix Gasoline Station on Diversion Road in Buhangin.
Initial investigation conducted by Insp. Pacito Cañete Jr. of the Buhangin police showed that Elmer Albofera, stock room in-charge at the site, discovered that the padlock of the room beside the bunker of stay-in workers was destroyed.
Only then Albofera learned that items, such as three boxes of PhilFlex THH/THWN that is 2.0 mm2 worth P6,000; three boxes of PhilFlex THH/THWN that is 3.5 mm2 worth P3,500; three boxes of PhilFlex that is 5.5 mm2 worth P14,000; and one grinder worth P3,000, were all missing.
Both members of the Calinan and Buhangin police are now conducting follow-up operations for the possible arrest of the suspects. (ICT)
