The concessionaires will be paying 7,000 pesos, which is inclusive of the booth with electrical outlets, a special mayor’s permit on which they are being required of and their tax payment to the City Treasurer’s Office.

Escarilla said that this year’s Kaansa Dan will be sponsored by Coke and they will also be the one responsible for the night entertainment during the whole duration of the said event.

For the food, he said that have already sent 50 invitations to different restaurants here in Davao City.

“Kung dili ka restaurant based, kung individual or group ramo na interested mu-venture into the food business pwede man gihapon (If you are not restaurant based, if you’re an individual or a group who are interested to venture in the food business we also allow it),” he said.

Escarilla also added that their festival director wants to showcase different cuisines for the Kaansa Dan and not just barbecues like the previous years.

“Para pudang mga bisita naay various choices of food pag-mubisita sila didto (So that our visitors would have various food choices if they will visit the area),” he said.

With regards to cleanliness of the food served, Escarilla said that they will conduct a briefing together with the City Health Office (CHO) and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) with the restaurants that will join to discuss with them the “dos and don’ts” during the event.

Kaansa Dan will be celebrated during the Kadayawan Festival week on August 11 to 17 at Roxas Avenue between Freedom Park and the City Triangle.
