THE Civil Service Commission (CSC) Davao will celebrate the 114th anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service next month.

The month-long celebration with the theme: "Tapat na Serbisyo Alay Ko, Dahil Lingkod Bayani Ako," aims to promote, showcase and celebrate heroism in the public service.

In a copy of the regional memorandum circular no. 2014-02, all national government agencies, LGUs and state colleges and universities are encouraged to join the set of activities for the whole month.

One of their highlight activities is the "Takbo Ko, Alay Ko" (R.A.C.E to Serve IV Fun Run) which is now on its fourth year on September 7 at the SM City Davao car park.

The proceeds of the fun run will be for the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani program that aims to provide assistance to the families of civilian government employees who died in the performance of their duties and responsibilities.

Other activities in line with the celebration will be the thanksgiving celebration mass, Regional Awards rites recognizing outstanding public officials and employees, physical/medical examination for government employees and a bloodletting activity for qualified government employees.
