Man killed; police identifying suspects-A A +A

POLICE are now trying to identify the four suspects who killed a 28-year-old man at Malinawon Village in Matina Aplaya in Davao City on Monday.
The victim was identified as Julius Guevarra Natividad, a resident of No. 46 Malinawon Village on Arcades Street.
Initial investigation conducted by Police Officer 3 (PO3) Cirilo Flores of the Talomo Police Station showed that the incident took place inside the victim's house around 7 p.m.
The witness, who refused to be named for her safety, said the victim was inside a room carrying his child when four unidentified armed men barged inside the house.
The victim was able to lay his child in a crib before the suspects shot him several times. The suspects left while the victim succumbed to gunshot wounds in the neck before he was brought to Davao Adventist Hospital in Bangkal.
The Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) recovered from the crime scene three fired cartridges, two live ammunition, one deformed slug, and two pieces of metal fragments - all from a caliber .45 pistol.
The authorities also recovered one-half open rolled paper with two transparent sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
The police learned that the victim has been jailed from 2011 to 2012 for a murder case.
Flores said that they cannot yet draw conclusions on the motive of the crime. He added that they are still conducting investigation about the four suspects, who were described as "gangsters".
