AN HONEST taxi driver, who returned P54,000 cash left by a passenger inside his cab, received P30,000 cash reward from Mayor Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday (August 24).

Duterte hailed Laurence Ygonia, a native of Cebu, who endorsed to ABS-CBN Davao a bag containing the money.

The bag and the money were returned to its owner through the dxAB Radyo Patrol.

The owner of the money was not mentioned though.

"Bilib ko nimo. Saludo ko sa imo," Duterte told Ygonia during the Gikan sa Masa, Para sa Masa show.

As a reward for being honest, Duterte handed him P30,000 cash.

Ygonia, who is married to Criselda, has three children.

Meanwhile, Duterte just laughed at the road rage involving two taxi drivers who drove round and round the four-lane road to hit each other like bump cars around 5:40 p.m. Thursday in Barangay 76-A Bucana, just beside the rows of condominiums in Ecoland Subdivision.

"Nalingaw ko. Gwapa man gud ang pasahero. Ok ra man na sa akoa," Duterte jested. (ANC)
