CHARGES were filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office on Friday against a suspect who stole a firearm at a boarding house in Barrio Obrero in Davao City.
Ronnie Leon Ramilla Ferollin, 20, a resident of Purok Sto. Niño in Barangay Leon Garcia in Agdao District, was charged with theft and violation of the Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
This after the Sta. Ana police found Ferollin in possession of two sachets of containing what they believe to be shabu before he was arrested at Purok San Roque in Barangay Leon Garcia.
Upon verification, police said the suspect was the one who stole a .38 caliber Armscor pistol with serial number 35349 from the drawer of a guard’s table at Chateau Pricilla Boarding House in Barangay Obrero last August 27.
The incident was captured and recorded by the closed circuit television camera installed inside the establishment.
Police said the suspect fit the description of the robber who broke into the boarding house. This was also confirmed when the arresting officers recovered the Armscor caliber .38 pistol during the suspect's arrest.
The suspect is now detained at the Sta. Ana Police Station.
