THE 10th Infantry Division (ID) on Wednesday, September 21, said they have already identified two camps that the local government units could utilize with at least one-hectare property each for construction of drug rehabilitation centers.

Commander Major Geneneral Rafael Valencia of 10th ID said they can allocate a space at their headquarters in Mawab, Compostela Valley province and another one in Malungon, Sarangani.

"We have one hectare vacant lot in Compostela Valley and another one hectare vacant lot at the headquarters of the Army's 1002nd Brigade in Sarangani na pwedeng pagtayuan ng rehabilitation centers," Valencia said.

Eastern Mindanao Command spokesperson Major Ezra Balagtey said the Army's 4th ID is also looking for a vacant lot at their headquarters in Bukidnon to be allocated for the construction of rehabilitation centers.

Balagtey said they do not have the facilities for rehabilitation centers but the 10th and 4th Infantry Division can allocate spaces for the drug rehabilitation centers.

The military issued such proposal following the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte to use military camps as area for drug rehabilitation centers and organized anti-drug units. (ICT)
