AFTER the successful visit of Chinese diplomats in Davao Region, the regional office of the National Economic Development Authority (Neda) expressed optimism that all lined up proposed infrastructure projects will further improve the economic activities of the city as the center of trade and commerce in Mindnanao.
The 40-man Chinese delegation, led by Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang, concluded their visit in the city yesterday leaving a promise for a stronger trade partnership and bilateral ties with the Philippines.
“We are very hopeful that all of this will be realized under the administration of President Rodrigo R. Duterte,” Maria Lourdes Lim, regional director of Neda-Davao said.
She said all sectors, including international, national and even local will work together to complete the projects.
“Yes we will do it, we can do it,” Lim said.
Chinese diplomats had a high-level consultation meeting with the government of the Philippines on Friday.
They also visited Sta. Ana Wharf where Neda presented two priority projects for Davao City and the Davao region as well as the rest of Mindanao -- the Davao City Expressway Project and Mindanao railway Project.
