A MAGNITUDE 5.2 earthquake hit Sarangani province in Davao Occidental around 8:58 p.m. Friday, June 9.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the epicenter of the tremor at 38 kilometers northwest of the town with a depth of 22 kilometers.
The earthquake was felt at Intensity III in some parts of Sarangani province while Intensity II in General Santos City and in Glan, Sarangani.
Phivolcs said aftershocks are expected.
