Admin aide of Davao hospital caught in drug bust

AN ADMINISTRATIVE aide of the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) was arrested in a drug bust on Sunday, September 10, at the parking lot of the government hospital.

The arrested was identified as Glenn John Tonzo Villasis, 31, said to be administrative aide 3 of SPMC and a resident of Dumanlas, Buhangin, Davao City.

Chief Inspector Hamlet Lerios, chief of Sta. Ana Police, that Villasis caught selling suspected met hamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu," with an undercover agent outside the hospital.

Taken from the suspect is 0.22 grams of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with a street value of P2,000.

Villasis refused to give any statement as he is now detained at the Sta. Ana Police and faces charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
