Sunday, October 01, 2017

A MAN is facing charges before the court after he broke into a house at Catonggan Village in Barangay 76-A, Davao City on September 6.

Charged with robbery is Jerick John Piñas Yu, alias “Boog.”

Prosecutor Imee Bisera-Mabale found probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by the victim Regie Camillo Manguiob.

In a two-page resolution dated September 15, the complainant attested that the incident happened around 2 a.m. while he and his common-law wife were both asleep.

Manguiob said he was awakened by an unusual noise and saw the accused in their room. The accused took a shoulder bag containing assorted items and jumped to the living room.

Yu hurriedly left the house but the complainant got up and chased the former. The accused was cornered and was then held by the complainant.

Recovered from the accused was the shoulder bag containing items worth P3,268. The accused was then endorsed to the responding policemen.

The accused is currently detained at the Talomo Police Station.
