DEPARTMENT of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary Luz Ilagan said funds for the rehabilitation of Marawi City will likely be released in January since it will be the start of the fiscal year.

Ilagan said she cannot disclose yet the exact budget.

At present, they are now focusing on providing feeding and livelihood programs for the victims of Marawi siege using the remaining budget they have for 2017.

“We are now focusing on our rehab in Marawi, so there are programs such as feeding,” Ilagan said.

She said their agency will also provide budget next year for their regular programs like feeding, sustainable livelihood, emergency assistance, even for those not affected in Marawi Siege. (KVC)
