A MAN was shot dead while another is in critical condition in two separate shooting incidents in Davao City on Sunday.
The dead victim was identified as Arjay Delos Reyes, a security guard of the Bisda Security Agency and resident of Barangay 76-A.
Delos Reyes was shot dead by a fellow security guard Jun Maldecir.
According to PO3 Sherwin Arbania of San Pedro police, the two had a heated altercation at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the residence where they were assigned on Ruby Street, Marfori Heights.
According to Arbania, the suspect went to the guard house, took his caliber .38 revolver and shot delos Reyes, who was hit on the head.
Members of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) declared the victim dead on the spot. His body was brought to the Angel Funeral Homes.
Maldecir, who fled after the incident, is the subject of a police manhunt.
Meanwhile, Jay Tantoy Guepela, 24, a resident of Bongbong, Malagamot, Barangay Panacan, is in critical condition after an unidentified man shot him twice.
According to PO2 Zaldy Rom of the Sasa Police Station, the victim was playing billiards at Borrero Billiard Center in Malagamot when he was shot in the buttocks and stomach.
He was brought to the Southern Philippines Medical Center.
Police found two empty shells of a caliber .45 gun at the crime scene. The man immediately fled onboard a motorcycle towards Tibungco Proper.
Police are still conducting investigations to identify the man behind the crime.
