LTO posts first win in Inday Sara cage tournament

THE struggling Land Transportation Office (LTO) hacked out its first-ever win by beating the City Council, 113-99, in the resumption of the Inday Sara Cup Basketball Tournament at the Almendras Gym Tuesday.

Allan Ardenio and Arvin Flores pitched in 29 and 23 points, respectively, to lift LTO's debut win having lost their two games.

The council, meanwhile, relied on Jilian de Guzman who drilled 33 markers and Mike Bantilan who scored 21 for the losing cause.

The City Council dropped to a 1-3 record in the cagefest presented by Vice Mayor Inday Sara Duterte in coordination with the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office.

The meet is sanctioned by Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) regional director Regino "Boy" Cua. (MLSA)
