OPTOMETRIST Virgilio "Billy" Magdale copped the gold medal anew by topping the Datba weekly tenpin singles Tournament at the NCCC Mall B3 lanes over the weekend.
Magdale, who is president of the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba), struck for a total of 885 pinfalls after four games to prevail over Joshua Disuacido, Gary Snyder, Ronald Martin and Vic Te who placed second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Disuacido hit 832 pinfalls for the silver, while Snyder garnered 819 for the bronze.
Martin scored 803, while Te amassed 801 in the event that serves as qualifying tournament for the monthly finals that offers cash prizes.
Datba, meanwhile, will hold the Araw ng Dabaw Tenpin Classic Tournament on Thursday to Sunday with attractive cash prizes and trophies at stake for the winners. (MLSA)
