IT WAS a colorful world of fantasy and creativity at the Event Center of SM City Davao as participants joined the preliminary of the Mindanao Cosplay Summit 2009 last October 30.
Cosplay ("kosupure" in Japanese) is short for "costume roleplay". It's a performance art onstage or elsewhere, in which participants wear fantastic costumes and accessories representing characters often derived from fiction.

These popular characters are often in anime, manga, anime, tokusatsu, comic books, video games, and fantasy movies. This subculture role playing includes many fictional characters from the virtual world that are familiar with the young generation.
It also includes inanimate objects.
Here I am, immersing myself in a world of fantasy with the next generation, where I couldn't recognize many characters save for Naruto, Sailor Moon, and Death Note.
Lucky me, since SM went wifi ready recently, I am able to send my articles from the activity center while everyone around me is in a flurry of colors and fascinating characters. I have written less, because I leave it to my images.
