MPIC vows continuous support to Davao Doc

METRO Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC) chair Manuel V. Pangilinan has vowed continuous support to efforts to further improve services at Davao Doctors Hospital (DDH).

In a video message during DDH's 40th year celebrationon Friday, Pangilinan said that he is proud of MPIC's association with the medical institution, touted to be the best in Mindanao.

"I would like to give credit to Dr. (Honorio) Hilario for having the vision," Pangilinan said in his two-minute message.

Last year, MPIC acquired 34.6 percent of shares in DDH, the controlling stake.

On Friday, DDH also launched its new logo and tagline which encapsulates the vision of the hospital.

"We Care for Life," the new tag line shows that the hospital's core value is in providing care that extends beyond the physical well-being of its patients.

At least two infrastructure developments are already underway at DDH with one expanding the doctors' clinics with a five-storey expansion adjoining the medical tower and the main hospital building.

A multi-storey steel building is also under construction on Malvar St., which will address the congested parking in the area. (CPM)
