DAVAO City's homegrown retail chain, NCCC, is planning to place its highly successful convenience outlets for franchise in order to cope with the rapid growth and expansion of the residential areas in the city.
In an interview with Sun.Star Davao, NCCC Group communications officer Aileen Gajo said that putting the convenience outlets, dubbed as Health and Beauty 1 or HB1, on franchise is already being ironed out by top executives of the company.

At present, there are already 16 outlets of HB1 located near residential areas. Contrary to typical convenience stores, HB1 sells products at the same price as they are sold at the supermarket of NCCC.
HB1, a one stop shopping convenience, continues to innovate to meet the demands of its customers with affordable and quality health and beauty care products from perfumes to make-up to hair and skin care to nutritional products like vitamins and nutritional supplements, as well as grocery items and other basic commodities.
HB1 also sells frozen products and has a pharmacy right within the store.
"HB1 is all about making it easier for people to access consumer goods without having to go to the supermarket. It's like a supermarket version of a sari-sari store," Gajo said.
In the drawing board is for the NCCC Group to open at least two HB1 outlets every quarter. To be opened in May is the Catalunan Grande outlet of HB1.
