"The Spirit”
Down these mean streets a man must come. Rookie cop named Denny Colt (Gabriel Macht) returns from the beyond as The Spirit, a hero whose mission is to fight against the bad forces from the shadows of Central City. The Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) kills anyone unfortunate enough to see his face. He has a more sinister plan. He's going to wipe out the entire city. The Spirit tracks this cold hearted killer from the city's rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill the masked crusader.
"The Spirit" is directed by Frank Miller of "Sin City" fame.
"Transporter 3"
Frank Martin (Jason Statham) has been pressured into transporting Valentina (Natalya Rudakova), the kidnapped daughter of Leonid Vasilev (Jeroen Krabbe), the head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the Ukraine, from Marseilles through Stuttgart and Budapest until he ends up in Odessa on the Black Sea. Along the way, with the help of Inspector Tarconi (Francois Berleand), Frank has to contend with the people who strongly armed him to take the job, agents sent by Vasilev to intercept him, and the general non-cooperation of his passenger. Despite Valentina's cynical disposition and his resistance to get involved, Frank and Valentina fall for each other, while escaping from one life-threatening situation after another.
"Bedtime Stories”
Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler), a hotel janitor who dreams of becoming the manager as what the owner promised to his father upon buying the property owned by the Skeeters. But the owner makes his future son-in-law, Base Kendall (Guy Pierce), manager, shattering Skeeter's dream. At the same time, Skeeter's sister Wendy (Courtney Cox) has to leave town for a job interview and asks him to look for her two children Patrick (Jonathan Heit) and Bobbi (Laura Kesling). He doesn't get along with the children, but his easy-goingness loosens them all up and once he starts telling his bedtime stories, the children grow fond of him and begin to bring in their ideas about how the stories should go. When the stories turn out to become true in real life, Skeeter tries to maneuver the stories into a direction which will make his dream come true, too.
"Magkaibigan”
Since their childhood days, Atoy (Christopher de Leon) and Ruben (Sen. Jinggoy Estrada) were the closest of friends. It was not surprising that they remained the best of friends even decades later when Atoy and Ruben had their own families. Atoy became a successful businessman, married to the beautiful Tere (Dawn Zulueta) and with two children. Ruben, the more proud and headstrong of the two, found a wife in Eden (Maricel Laxa), with two sons. But the true test of this friendship came when Atoy was suddenly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Ruben summoned all their friends to rally behind Atoy to provide him with the strength to fight the deadly disease.
