"We still have to go through the process and we should have a lengthy discussion about his case," Calatrava told Sun.Star Davao.

He said Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 13 has scheduled the preliminary conference of the case on May 3.
"Mahabang proseso pa ito and probably, aabot pa sya next month dito because we don't have any legal grounds to dismiss the case," Calatrava said in an interview.
The respondent, Ryan Sean James, assisted by public lawyer Lea Garnet Solde, earlier pleaded not guilty when arraigned.
James is now facing charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for possessing morphine when arrested inside a motel last January 2.
