Director’s Cut: (This portion features the thoughts of DepED 11 Regional Director Susana Teresa B. Estigoy, CESO IV to all stakeholders and recipients of the efforts to improve the basic education) I do not consider my job as plain work --- rather it is my LIFE. “We have to continually examine what succeeds and fails, and why. We have to uphold and live true to our battlecry and slogan of governance: “Education For All (EFA) 2015: Karapatan ng Lahat, Pananagutan ng Lahat.”

THERE is life after DepEd.
This is what Deped 11 Regional Director Susana Teresa B. Estigoy emphasized to four DepEd high ranking personnel who decided to retire from government service and start their journey in their respective private lives starting today.
Director Estigoy had also reminisced back the important contributions the four retirees have poured in to DepEd in terms of their exemplary services and various skills in linking and networking with various stakeholders to realize the region's programs and projects for its personnel, teachers and students.
The Director said that if she had her way, she would ask them to continue serving the department because of their valuable contributions but listening to their valid reasons, some of them health related, so as a boss with a heart, she yielded to their plea.
On July 6, 2012, DepEd Regional Office 11 tendered a testimonial program to Assistant Regional Director Fe C. delos Reyes, Budget and Finance Chief Virginia N. Alconcel, NEAP Director Designate and Education Program Supervisor Corazon P Escalera and Cashier Emma R. Paña.
ARD Delos Reyes served DepEd for 43 years, Alconcel, 34 years; Escalera, 21 years and Paña, 34 years.
RD Estigoy recalled ARD delos Reyes' colorful years in the department from being a teacher up to the time when she became assistant director until her retirement. ARD delos Reyes was her assistant superintendent when she was a superintendent at the Division of Davao del Norte and also became her partner here in DepEd Region XI.
Estigoy said ARD delos Reyes had really complemented her functions as her assistant given the volume of work and the complex nature of heading a huge branch of government in the regional level.
On Budget and Finance Chief Alconcel, RD Estigoy credited her with the successful implementation of all the programs and projects and various infrastructures, makeovers and putting to use all available spaces in the DepEd compounds to benefit all the personnel, teachers and students.
Alconcel's savvy in financial management and her efficient public relations contributed much to the smooth sailing operation of the regional office and all its division offices and schools.
NEAP Director Designate Escalera was a moving factor in RD Estigoy's vision of turning NEAP XI into a self-sufficient and functional training and development center. She acknowledged Escalera's no-nonsense working attitude in making NEAP XI to continue realizing its vision, mission, goals and objectives.
Though she had a limited contact with Ms. Paña, RD Estigoy had also took note of her 34 years of continued service to DepEd as an important contribution towards the attainment of the department's aim to provide efficient and effective services to its personnel and clients and quality education for all.
All the best to our dear retirees. Have a meaningful life after DepEd.
