ACTUALLY, it wasn't the creation of man and woman that made God satisfied with his work, over having done something great. It was the union of man and woman that resulted in the production of off springs that really made God's day, especially when He/She saw the results.

It is upon seeing that everything that He has created is living according to His plan, that is, according to the natural course of the life cycle following nature's master plan with little deviation along the way... That was what mattered more.

But, of course, it is not about being dictated upon, as humans are designed so intricately to the point that we are all equipped with the littlest of gadget in our beautiful anatomy to equip us for that delicate work of living, existing.

We were equipped with an intellect that coordinates with every little parts of our body, with a beating heart that functions beyond its practical role of circulating blood throughout the body but more importantly, to ensure that every child is taken cared of with compassion and love; and with eyes that sees the beauty of what He has done for us.

God, in his infinite goodness, has given us handy tools to help Him see the immediate results of His great work and assess His perfection. The fruits that usually came out from the unions of His creation have become the tools by which He monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of HIS creation.

Our children, as the ultimate expression of God's infinite goodness, are also the handy yardstick that measures the intellect of His creation. When the little ones have grown to become adults themselves and are able to appreciate the efforts of their parents in raising them up and caring for them, it symbolizes or actually is, the reward.

That is why communication is an imperative in the family because it is the only way of knowing if we are still on the right track. Nowadays, when children are more engrossed in gadgets more than giving time to communicating with their parents, it is up to us parents to take the initiative to bring them back to us, because most of the time, they would become lost in their virtual world.

We cannot pass on the blame to our children when they go astray because we, as parents, are the guide, guardians that we are called, we are the precedents. When they learn through our own practices, and not from what we tell them, that is the very essence of our roles or the lack of it.

I only realize this last night when I received, and happily so, a greeting and appreciation from our eldest son who sounded off what he sees in me, in the way that we, my husband and I raised him and his siblings. It is with pleasure that I share this uncalled for appreciation.

In his blog, my son wrote and I quote:

"A Mentor, a Friend, a MOTHER. These are just a few of the roles my Mother plays, Kind, Sweet, Easily Angered, Outspoken and Strict but best of all a loving mother.

I am not one to express my feelings through cheesy poems or letter, if anything my brothers are better with that, so I usually leave it to them, but I will make an exception this time since this is as far as I remember my first.

I can only imagine the hardships she endured raising us, three hard-headed kids, I imagine the sacrifice she made for us everyday, waking up in the morning to prepare breakfast for us and we, the sleepyheads as we are makes her shout early in the morning.

When I was a little older, she taught me how to cook so that I can help; she also taught me how to go home by myself, how to ride a jeepney when I was in sixth grade. How she worries when I go home late in the evening or early in the morning, because of some activity in the school which she also supported me through it, practically doesn't sleep haha. Sorry Mang.

Now that I think about it, I never had a chance to thank her for everything she has dome for us, for me, especially that time when my wife was pregnant, she didn't complain or anything about me having a family at such a young age, she supported my wife, took her to doctors giving advice and so on, filling my absence, since I was not at home at all because of work.

She did not tell me what to do with my life, she guided me, I was aware of that and that's why I became who I am now.

For all the sacrifices, love and compassion you have shown us, To my Mama and to all mothers ARIGATOU GOSAIMASU."

I could not ask for more.
