Orgo-Tesiorna pair bags Class E title

SERGEANT Elen Orgo and Sun.Star Davao reporter Ben Jason Tesiorna copped the male class E doubles title of the just-concluded AFP-PNP Press Corps Badminton Doubles Tournament held at the Wheels N' More Badminton Center.

Orgo and Tesiorna turned back First Lieutenants Randay Espinosa and Arlene Pedrosa, 2-0, in their championship showdown that won them a cash prize.

Tesiorna had also won in past media badminton tournaments.

The female class E crown went to the tandem of 1Lt. Erma Ramos and PO2 Catherine Villaflor who bested Capt. Rosa Ma. Cristina Manuela and PO2 Arlene Dizon while the female class D title went to Vanissa Almorato and Cheryl Codilan who beat 2nd Lt. Salvacion Conejos and Sgt. De Belen.

In male class D, Capt. Pastrana and PO2 Ranell Velasco spanked Maj. Ricardo Lucero and Capt. Anthonyfer Solamo for the title while Master Sergeant Emerson Saavedra and PO2 Antonio Rofolir took the male class C title at the expense of Police Senior Supt. Aaron Aquino and Capt. Reymond Dante Lachica.

The tournament was organized to promote camaraderie among members of media and AFP and PNP personnel. (MLSA)
