SEVEN belts and counting. This guy can't seem to have enough. Well. If Imelda can have her shoe collection, why can't this guy have his very own belt collection. The problem is he has to work extra hard to acquire just one - beat or get beaten. It's a case of bullying someone and have them give up their belt and hang it in his closet of waist huggers.

Today, the entire nation, each and every floating 7,100++ island in this archipelago is unified and at peace. Another moment in Philippine history, the first in 2010, to attain the much-deserved peace, oneness and yes, traffic less streets as all eyes are glued on their pay-per-view TV in the comforts of home or the theaters, restos and bars for the barkada gathering or the neighborhood wide screen set-up for free by your truly local candidate (perfect time to campaign) and bet one with your community to cheer on our new national hero.
Another historical moment for our own Manneh as he does his high-speed clobbering of his opponent from the land that breeds the most amazing marathon runners, Ghana. Manneh and Clottey will exchange punches, mar their faces and probably shed a drop of blood or two at this new $1.2 billion structure, Cowboys Stadium in Arlington Texas. MGM Grand must be having a fit!
The entire world will be matching this match and cheer their team. I can hear the voices now... even mommy Dionisia's.
My idol, I will call her the top breeder of the moment. She gave us our boxing champ that put the Philippines in the map and her son's face on every product imaginable, you know. Shampoo, deodorant, health drink, beer, socks, karaoke, clothing. His face is the new good-looking man of the moment on every billboard from Bankerohan to Edsa to Union Square in San Francisco to Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and God knows where else.
The Champ even landed on the cover of Time Magazine Asia and can definitely rub elbows with fellow cover guys and gals, Ferdinand Marcos, Corazon Aquino and more. He lists as one of the most influential people last year according to Time Magazine, as one of the highest paid athletes, etc.
But along the sidelines sit the real champion, Mommy Dionisia. If it were not for her, there would be no Manneh - no world-renowned Philippine champion and the pluses that come along with it.
If Jesus so saved the world and we have our devotion to Mama Mary, shouldn't it be the same for Manneh who single-handedly brings peace to our country and unites the Filipinos? Don't you think Mommy Dionisia deserves the glory for giving us her begotten son?
I have started my devotion to Mommy Dionisia a long time ago. I adore her au naturel persona, her candidness and finding her path to happiness - praying is top on her list to keep Manneh safe during his fights. Dancing comes very close to the first priority.
Why shouldn't she? She has raised the family practically on her own, watched dotingly over her brood like the genuine mother hen that she is. And now she is just reaping the fruits of her labor. She is getting what she truly deserves, you know… product endorsements with tri-media exposure, TV shows and what's more, PacMom doesn't need those gloves only her high-heeled shoes and dance her way to fame.
I cheer on Manneh today. I know he will punch his way to glory and another belt on his closet but I am posting this shoutout, hoping that it catches Mommy Dionisia's attention - I want to have a photo with you, have your autograph, do an interview and maybe dance the swing with you! ..Oh, Manny can come along for the ride, of course.
