REGISTRATION is ongoing for the Purefoods Corned Beef Basketball 3-on-3 set on Nov. 21 to 23 at the Gaisano Mall of Davao grounds.

Event organizer Joseph Encabo, who guested at the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum at the Tower Inn Thursday, said the competition will feature the grade school and high school categories.

Encabo said the grade school event is for 11 to 13 years old players while the high school division is for 13 to 16.

The top 10 teams in each category will receive Purefoods 3-on-3 jerseys.

Cash prizes and food products will be awarded to the winners.

He said the champion team will pocket P7,000 cash, medals and P500 worth of Purefoods products while the runner-up will receive P5,000, medals and P500 worth of Purefoods products.

"A team shall be composed of four players and one coach. Registration forms are available at the grocery department of Gaisano Mall of Davao. A team must have a P1,000 worth of Purefoods products purchase to be able to join the event," Encabo said.

Purefoods management is still finalizing who among the PBA Purefoods players will be able to guest during the tournament. He said former PBA many-time MVP Alvin Patrimonio was the guest during the last Purefoods 3-on-3 here. (MLSA)
