VIC Pusod hit a total of 276 pinfalls to capture the class A crown in the SBC Bowler of the Week Tournament at the Fairlanes Bowling Center on Sunday night.

Pusod bested Senen Maligang and Bong Kho who settled for second and third, respectively. Maligang garnered 254, while the latter scored 239 in the weekly qualifying organized by the Sunday Bowlers Club.

Joe Torres ruled the class B after rolling 228 pinfalls, just one-point ahead of runner-up Oca Aplicador who made 227 pinfalls. Veteran female bowler Che-Che Calida grabbed the third spot with 226.

In the ladies event, Arlene Belarmino struck for 230 pinfalls to clinch the title over Jade Toribio (209) and Lydia Ampo (200).

The champions received cash prizes and gained slots to the Bowler of the Month Finals.

The SBC President's Cup Open Bowling Tournament, meanwhile, will roll off at 7 p.m. Tuesday with a total cash prize of P25,000 at stake for the winners. (MLSA)
