LEADING wireless services provider Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) continues to be a strong partner of local government units. The telco leader recently partnered with the Davao City government to help make this year's Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival 2010 a success.
To add to the color and gaiety of the festival, Smart organized the Smart Buddy Best Dance Crew at the People's Park in Davao City.

Thousands of Dabawenyos enjoyed the performances of celebrities Billy Crawford and Katya Santos, plus the band Itchyworms and the Philippine All Stars dance group.
Many spectators also went home with brand-new gadgets, appliances, and loot bags after winning in the grand raffle held at the event.
Smart also supported the major events organized by the local government unit, including the search for the Hiyas ng Kadayawan and the grand float parade.
"We congratulate the Davao City government and the different offices under it for the festival's success. We are excited to continue contributing to future activities and projects of this very progressive area," said Atty. Maria Jane C. Paredes, Smart public affairs head for the Visayas and Mindanao.
The annual Kadayawan honors the rich culture and tradition of the Lumad, or the indigenous peoples of Davao. Widely followed by Filipinos and tourists alike, the festival also highlights nature's bounty found in Davao such as exotic fruits and flowers.
