Top-notch local coaches headed by league commissioner Cadel Mosqueda will facilitate the drafting of players for eight teams that will carry Phoenix Fuels brands: Cyclomax Titan, Cyclomax 4T, Zoelo Extreme, Zoelo Diesel, Accelerate Vega, Accelerate Supreme, Cycle Fork and 2T Max.
Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. (PPI) marketing supervisor Neb Bulaclac said they expect some 1,000 participants in the event.
The first of its kind non-school-based basketball tournament aims to give Davao City's youth the opportunity to play in huge gyms with other players from all walks of life, to train under expert coaches and to be given good breaks including scholarship grants.
It is interesting to note that then F. Bangoy National High School student Rhaffy Tabudlong was offered a scholarship at Southern Philippines Polytechnic College, Inc. after his impressive stint in the inaugural season. He also played in the second season last year.
Phoenix is also in the final stage of preparations for the upcoming 2012 Araw ng Dabaw Phoenix Run, 4th Phoenix Open and the Phoenix Cyclomax Motocross.
