Sara-Rody judofest kicks off Saturday

THE Mayor Inday Sara and Vice Mayor Rody Duterte post-Pahalipay sa Pasko Judo Invitational Tournament is all set to kick off at SM City Davao Events Center on Saturday.
Organizer Paolo Tancontian bared this in an interview at the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO) on Wednesday.

He said the one-day event will feature the boys and girls 10 and below (35 kg., 40 kgs., 45 kgs.) 15-below (56 kgs., 68 kgs., 78 kgs., =79 kgs.), 16-below (54 kgs., 60 kgs.), 18-below (56 kgs., 68 kgs., +69 kgs.) and senior men (63 kgs., +64 kgs., openweight) categories.
The Davao Holiday Judo Club, Davao Central High School, Philippine Women's College, UCCP Judo Club of coach Hamir Achacoso, Santiago Dacudao Judo Club of coach J.C. Paduga, Osmeña National High School Judo Club of coach Ruel Tual, Davao Wisdom Academy of coach Ladore Aseneta and Mats College of Technology Judo Club of coach by Jay Aseneta are expected to see action.
Visiting Misamis Oriental-based Jasaan Judo Club, mentored by Dutch native Rob Schreuder, may pull off surprises aginst Davao teams.
Cash prizes and medals await the individual winners in each category. Champions will each pocket P1,000 while the runners-up will get P500 and third-placer will take home P300.
A trophy awaits the top team based on the medal tally.
