BC, UM rule Prisaa tennis

BROKENSHIRE College (BC) and University of Mindanao (UM) captured the men's and women's titles, respectively, at the close of the Davao City Private Schools Athletic Association (DC-Prisaa) Meet tennis competition at the Ecoland Phase 4 Tennis Club courts in Matina over the weekend.
BC men's team captain Mark Anthony Alcoseba routed UM's Ronel Matutina, 8- 1, in first singles.

The tandem of BC's Jecco Lapiz and Andrei Dizon turned back Patrick Cloyd Braga and Bryann Buscas, 8-4, in their doubles showdown to lift the BC Leopards to a 2-0 win.
In the distaff side, UM's Jessica Lucas upset multi-titled Eloisa Collo of BC, 8-6, in first singles match while Maejane Manzanares and Joellene Accion combined forces to hack out an 8-2 win over UM duo Lani Enrequez and Jeneveb Caorte in doubles.
Alcoseba, Dizon, Lapiz and Braga along with Lucas, Manzanares, Accion and Caorte will try to defend the city's men's and women's tennis titles in the Davao Region Prisaa Meet set Feb. 24 to 26 at UM Matina.
Basketball games will resume on Saturday at UM Matina Gym. (MLSA)
