JMC, meanwhile, routed the Agro Industrial Foundation College of the Philippines (AIFCP) Sailors, 85-72, to earn a semifinals berth in the DC-PRISAA event.

The UM dribblers dismantled MATS Mindanao Medical Foundation College in a one-sided affair, 99-59, to also clinch a semis spot.

It was all-out dominance for the UM ladies as they outscored HCDC in all quarters.

It was a neck-and-neck battle between JMC and AIFCP. Both teams didn't have a significant edge over the other as they traded runs throughout the game. JMC had the slight edge early in the game as it held a 22-20 lead at the end of the first.

JMC then copped an 8-0 run early in the second to have erected a 30-20 lead. However, AIFCP engineered an 8-0, late in the second to narrow the gap to one, 34-33, at halftime.

The third quarter was a close contest until JMC made a 9-0 run late in the third to finish the quarter at 63-53.

Both teams traded baskets early in the final quarter. But late in the final quarter, JMC made a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 3, 74-71.

However, Angelo Morilla and Kenny Guibay sealed the deal for JMC as Morilla sank a three-point shot with 1:20 remaining in the game while Guibay intercepted the ball in transition and finished with a hoop-and-the-harm play at the other end with 38 seconds remaining.

Jumabon Bulac was the leading scorer for JMC with 27 points including 21 points with 5 three-point shots in the third quarter. Joshua Adalid also contributed in the scoring load with 18 points.

Gabriel Danganon led all scorers for AIFCP with 16 points.

The UM men dribblers outscored their rivals in all quarters. Reggie Rivera spearheaded the UM charge with 16 points while Gerry Martinez contributed 14 points.

MATS was led by Jeffrey Palarca, who fired 19 points in a losing effort.

The Holy Cross of Davao College and DMMA College of Southern Philippines are yet to face off to complete the top three teams that will be vying for the DC-PRISAA crown.

The top three teams will have a draw lots to determine the team that will be waiting in the championships while the remaining teams will face-off to qualify for the titular showdown. The semifinals will be played next Saturday while the finals will be played next Sunday.
