DDS, Ebocci share top honors in Tionko Cup

THE D' Davao Survivors (DDS) and Ebocci FC shared top honors at the close of the Vicenta Tionko Memorial Cup held at the Tionko football grounds over the weekend.
DDS seized the women's open title over Solido and SOS Children's Village that placed second and third, respectively.

DDS was bannered by Reynalyn Ravanes, Mary Jane Zamora, Analou Ingles, Helryn Mae Salmon, Beth Villa Abrille, Karla Sol Cruz, Janice Celestial, Lorena Mongao, Kristel Dureza, Jingle Cabisog and Jeanwar Gravino.
Ebocci FC annexed the men's open A crown at the expense of Columbia A and Davraa/PTA Boys that took the next two places.
Austin Emeson, Emmanuel Amechi, Mark Paul Dayanan, Yoshinaku Koizumi, Ronald Mark Legara, Victor Okorie, Warren Ravanes, Arman Valencia, Mike Ekwe and Jessie Gravino powered Ebocci FC.
Medvil FC, meanwhile, prevailed over Kilusang Magkaibigan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (KMMPC) and Hooligans FC to capture the men's open B crown.
Solido FC also did not go home empty-handed after ruling the men's open C, while Club Aurum settled for the runner-up honors and SOS Children's Village finished third.
The event was organized by the Davao Football Association (Davao FA) as a tribute to the owners of the Tionko field for their support and generosity.
Davao FA president Edward Lam presented a plaque of appreciation to the Tionko family represented by lawyer Neil Dalumpines, Geraldine Dalumpines and Tomas Tionko during the awarding rites.
The bootfest was held with assistance from the University of the Philippines Mindanao's NSTP students. (Ruji Peter S. Abat)
