Nerza, Donos top Jollibee 10K run

BROKENSHIRE College's Anthony Nerza and Baguio City's Flordeliza Donos pocketed the men's and women's ten-kilometer (10K) titles, respectively, in the just-concluded 12th Jollibee Family Run held in an out-and-back course from NCCC Mall.
Nerza clocked 32 minutes and 45 seconds, beating schoolmate Arnie Macañeras (35:19) and University of Mindanao's James Castillo (35:22) who wounded up in the next two places of the footrace dubbed, "Beedang Takbo Para sa Autismo".

Donos, for her part, timed 39:18 to race past rivals Nezel Delima (50:28) and Myrna Bernas (52:01) who grabbed the next two spots.
In 5K, Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) bet Philip Ocon (18:53) outran Joseph Aligarbes of Kidapawan City and Pablito Gonzaga (19:08) for the men's crown.
Siblings Criselyn and Cecellie Jaro of Brokenshire took the first two places in women's 5K. Criselyn registered 24:16 while Cecellie recorded 18:00 and Imelda Ranosa came in close third with 18:01.
Jesmar Lopez and Emily Ong, meanwhile, shared top honors in 3K open category. Lopez checked in at 10:58 over Oliver Caga (13:41) and Roldan Pantanosas (14:12) in men's event while Ong (17:37) sped past Jocelyn Bermoy (18:00) and Jhabie Orbita (18:01).
In the 3K kargathon, Noel and Arnel Villaver (15:46) toppled the tandems of ronald and Reedin Dagaang (19:07) and Kena Anthony and Lana Antonia Lao (23:18).
The 3K husband-and-wife title went to Michael and Karen Macapagal (16:55) while Alberto and Archie Cadina (19:59) placed second and Judy and Miradel Clemente (24:01) finished third.
For JTC employees, Adonis Lid-awan (19:59) lorded over Bermar Timbal (20:33) and Dean Payan (23:31) for the men's crown while Cathy Calubag (23:08) prevailed over Arlyn Barona (26:22) and Jane Villar (27:43) in the distaff side.
Cash prizes, baller bands and medals were awarded to the winners of the footrace managed by Vantage Sports Promotions.
