BKCC chessfest set today

THE 78th BKCC Under-16 Rapid Chess Tournament gets underway today, Saturday, at the Blue Knight Chess Club, 86-1 Bonifacio St.
BKCC director Ronnie Tabudlong said the some 20 players are expected to join the one-day Swiss System format chessfest that gives each player a time control of 30 minutes per game.

Registration starts at 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. then games will follow after. Registration fee is P50 per participant.
A trophy awaits the champion while medals will go to the second and third placers.
The event is backed up by the Davao City Sports Council, Inc. (DCSCI).
