WE HAVE an announcement to make.

On Tuesday, February 14, 2012, Valentine's Day, the Sports Communicators Organization of the Philippines (Scoop-Davao) will hold its forum outside its mother host Royal Mandaya Hotel to make a way for the invitation of Davao City's newest pride, the Zoofari Kid's Adventure.

Have something to report? Tell us in text, photos or videos.

For the first time in many years, our group led by Lito delos Reyes, will conduct our Q and A forum "out-of-town" and see the wonders of the mighty jungle at the largest themed play and party center in town housed in all 2,800 square meters total lot area.

Coach Rommel Tan of the Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK-Davao) and his sports toddlers complete the cast of the modern P40-million educational and entertainment facility. The investors of the unique park inside a building said they did not have second thoughts of their choice of Davao City because the environment suits well with their concept. Their previous test markets in different malls have been very successful.

AAK will have one play and practice area at the Zoofari as their new venue. AAK's new concept of karatedo as a sport and not martial arts is conducive to the family adventure theme and environment of Zoofari.

According to the owners and managers Family Fun Ventures, Zoofari Kids Adventure is the newest state of the art children’s play and party center in the country where your kids can be kids' every day.

These are some of the reasons why you should contact Abbey Ghaille Arriaga, marketing manager at 0935 190 2281 or landline (082) 226-2909: It’s the perfect place for Dabawenyo families to celebrate the most valuable events like birthday parties, family reunions, baptismal and corporate activities and events. The Zoofari Summer Camp of Sports Karate by AAK Davao, Arts and Crafts, Painting and Drawing by Ayag, Cooking, Baking and Music lessons.

Another thing very attractive for parents and children is the soft play area dedicated for toddlers.

It is also complete with other amenities like the Coffee Hut, Kidz Café, Zoovenir Shop and Party Rooms.

Jay Martinez and his partner Andrew Worseley went to Taboan last week and invited us to have a feel of the themed park, hence our next Scoop Forum on-site.

As part of their contribution to the social and humanitarian concerns of the city, Zoofari has earlier made available for free to the children of the House of Hope their exciting facility and healthy foods.

Sitting next to Jay and Andrew at the previous Scoop forum were Kimberly Viovicenti and January Santiago, both MassCom students of Ateneo de Davao University. They are promoting the next fun run on Sunday, February 18, 2012 with Roxas Avenue as the assembly area at 4:30 a.m. and Race Time at 5 a.m.

The focus of concern of the fun run organized by the Humanities Division of AdDU are the pediatric patients especially those with cancer and other chronic illnesses.

The P250 registration fee for the fun run is only to make us aware of the Kythe Child Life Program which is also asking for your generosity as a donor to support the P100 Miracle Project at a pledge of P100 per month. The Kythe Account Info is BPI Family Bank Current Account 6861-0314-52. For cancer and non-cancer fund current account 6031-0529-02. Fax deposit slips to 3763454 indicate name and address and contact numbers for proper issuance of official receipts.

Run For Kythe: Because children should be flying kites not fighting cancer.
