DRANHS, CDSI rule UNO 3-on-3

THE Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (DRANHS) and Colegio de San Ignacio (CDSI) captured titles in the just-concluded Unlimited Network of Opportunities (UNO) 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament at the Gaisano Grand Citimall Sky Gym.
DRANHS defeated Emar Learning Center via shootout in their under-15 cadet finals while CDSI nipped Davao Christian High School (DCHS), 12-11, in under-13 mini division.

DRANHS and Emar were tied at 9-all at the end of regulation but the Matina-based dribblers edged the latter with a 3-1 win in the shootout.
DRANHS was bannered by Angelo Dalion, Kitch Conda, Jeffrey Jara and Erik Buluran. DRANHS mainstay Conda was named most valuable player (MVP) after scoring four points.
DRANHS also ruled the under-18 juniors’ event by escaping an 8-7 win over Our Lady of Fatima Academy (Olfa). MVP Juland Sendiong lifted DRANHS with three points.
CDSI, meanwhile, emerged champion behind MVP Russel Antijo’s four points.
The open division title went to Payaman by beating Hunters, 12-11, with John Morante, Ian Masanger and Renante Calicdan leading the charge.
In the side media event, Team White downed Team Blue, 14-12.
Tournament director and organizer Rael Diaz awarded the trophies, medals, and UNO gift packs to all division winners of the cagefest presented by the UNO Phoenix Group Mindanao Chapter and sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Mindanao Cluster B under regional director Regino “Boy” Cua.
