Medvil, U13 Davao down rivals

THE Medvil FC and U-13 Davao scored contrasting victories in the resumption of the 1st Davao Football Association (DFA) U-16 Girls Football League at Tionko and Faith Academy fields over the weekend.
Medvil FC shutout SOS, 7-0, on Saturday behind the heroics of Agot Danton who scored all seven goals for the team. It doubled the feat by nipping the Lady Knights, 4-3, Sunday with goals from Sanaa Jikiri, Nina Arrieta, Nina Lumactad and Jeanella Borje.

The Lady Knights, however, took its first win by whipping Tambayan FC, 7-2. Janna Barcemo sparked Lady Knights with a hat trick (6th, 32nd, 35th) and Kim Maligad added two goals. Their teammates Nina Yanto and Gabby Del Fierro, netted one goal each.
U13 Davao, for its part, hacked out a rousing 5-1 win over Tambayan FC as Joannah Adao hit two goals in the 33rd and 47th minute, while Patricia Francisco, Zuleika Yee and Moira Calizo chipped in one goal each.
The Kyrsten Jennings-led Faith Academy also shared the limelight with a 5-2 victory over Tambayan FC, 5-2.
Games will resume this weekend in the league sanctioned by the Davao Football Association.
